Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1403889 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the actuator assembly electrical connector.
  2. Remove the actuator assembly mounting bolts.
  3. Remove the actuator assembly from the transfer case.
  4. Remove the actuator assembly insulator gasket.
  5. If required, remove the harness retainer from the harness.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1403889 Size: SH
  1. If required, install the actuator assembly harness retainer to the harness.

    2. Important: Ensure the alignment sleeve is in position.

  2. Install the new actuator assembly insulator gasket on the actuator assembly.
  3. Install the actuator assembly motor to the transfer case. Rotate the control actuator lever shaft to align to the encoder motor.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the mounting bolts for the actuator assembly.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the actuator assembly mounting bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the actuator assembly electrical connector.
