Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1369950 Size: SH
  2. Remove the nuts (7), washers (6), bolts (2) and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe (1) from the air cooler (4) and the exhaust manifold.
  3. Remove the EGR pipe gaskets (3, 5).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1369950 Size: SH

    Important: Before beginning the installation procedure, carefully inspect the gasket mating surfaces of the EGR pipe for cracks or other damage.

  1. Install the EGR pipe (1) and gaskets (3, 5) to the oil cooler (4) and the exhaust manifold with 3 washers (6), nuts (7), and 2 bolts (2).
  2. Temporarily tighten the EGR pipe nuts (7) and bolts (2) starting at the oil cooler (4) and moving toward the exhaust manifold.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Final tighten the nuts (7) and bolts (2) starting at the exhaust manifold and moving toward the oil cooler (4).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts and bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
