Front Pipe Replacement With CTF

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1259175 Size: SH
  1. Remove the clamp from the turbocharger/exhaust brake.
  2. Remove the band clamp from the flex pipe.

    3. Object Number: 213169 Size: SH
  3. Remove the clamp from the exhaust pipe bracket.
  4. Remove the front exhaust pipe.
  5. Inspect all of the components for the following conditions:
    6. • Cracks
    • Bends
    • Stripped threads
    • Corrosion damage
    • Leaks
  6. Replace the above components as necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 213169 Size: SH
  1. Install the front exhaust pipe.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the band clamp to flex pipe.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1259175 Size: SH
  3. Install the clamps on the front exhaust pipe.

    4. Tighten

    1. Tighten the turbocharger/exhaust brake clamp assembly to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
    2. Tighten the exhaust pipe bracket clamp nut to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

Disconnect the intermediate pipe from the front pipe. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement .

Front Pipe Bracket Nut (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
30 N·m (22 lb ft)

Front Pipe Bracket Clamp

Front Pipe Nut (Qty: 3)

Tighten
65 N·m (48 lb ft)

Procedure

Replace the front pipe gaskets. Do not reuse them.
