The Air Induction System provides contaminant filtration of the outside air as it is drawn into the engine. The air cleaner assembly is mounted above the engine and houses the air cleaner element. Outside air is drawn into the air cleaner assembly where contaminants are removed by the air cleaner element. The air is then routed into the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, which flows into the air cleaner outlet duct. The filtered air is then routed from the air cleaner outlet duct into the throttle body and the engine intake manifold.
