This bulletin is being revised to remove the reference to the Labor Time Guide. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-00-89-006B (Section 00 - General Information).
Effective immediately, labor operation L2300 (Converter, Oxidation Catalytic - Replace) is eligible for an Add time of 0.1 hour if the dealership is required to cut a pipe(s) from the catalytic converter . This is in addition to any other Add time specified in the Labor Time Guide (LTG). When the LTG is updated to reflect this change, this bulletin will be revised.
This applies only to vehicles that have a pipe connected to the catalytic converter that must be cut before the converter can be returned through the GM core return process . The 0.1 hour Add time is only applicable to catalytic converters prepared and returned through the GM Core Return Process .
Important: If the converter is requested by the Warranty Parts Center (WPC), do NOT cut the pipe. It needs to be attached for analysis purposes.
