For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the retaining ring (1) for the countershaft rear bearing.
- Using a hydraulic press, remove the countershaft rear bearing (2).
- Using a hydraulic press, remove the 5th counter gear (3) from the countershaft (4).
Important: The countershaft bearing and 5th counter gear only require removal if faulty. Do not reuse the components after removal.
