Removal Procedure

    Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the RH tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  3. Object Number: 10815  Size: SH
  4. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove CMP sensor bolt.

  6. Object Number: 10816  Size: SH
  7. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 10816  Size: SH
  1. Install the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP Sensor bolt to 10 N·m (7.5 lb in).


    Object Number: 10815  Size: SH
  3. Install the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the R.H. tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
