The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
You may experience a vehicle that has a code P0633 set in the ECM and will not exit the theft deterrant learn mode. Also, the Tech-2 tool will not be able to clear the code.
Recommendation/Instructions:
You may experience a vehicle that has a code P0633 set in the ECM and will not exit the theft deterrant learn mode. Also, the Tech-2 tool will not be able to clear the code.
Note: DTC P0633 will clear upon a successful engine start. Any malfunction that will cause a no-start condition will prevent DTC P0633 from clearing. Prior to diagnosing DTC P0633, ensure that all power moding and engine control systems
are operating properly and all conditions that may cause a no-start have been corrected.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
