VIN Identification of Classic (GMT800) Pickup vs New Style (GMT900) Pickup Trucks for 2007 Model Year

During the 2007 Model Year, both the "Classic" (GMT800) and New Style (GMT900) series pickup trucks were produced concurrently. The 2007 VIN reference card does not provide any identifier to indicate which series of vehicle is present through the VIN number. This has been reported as an inconvenience and source of possible confusion during write-up and repair.
