This PI was superseded to update specifics in model list and change verbiage in both Condition/Concern and Recommendation/Instructions. Please discard PIT4411A.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment of an unwanted ABS or valve activation during low speed turns with no diagnostic codes set in the vehicle. The concern may be noticed on left and right hand turns, but is more common on left hand turns. This may be a result of Corner Brake Control which is a part of the EBCM software. There is no loss of stability or unwanted brake apply, only ABS motor noise.

Recommendation/Instructions:

This is a normal characteristic of the vehicle in most situations. Do not replace the EBCM or any stabilitrak components. Verify the latest calibration is present in the EBCM. A calibration has been released on TIS-2-WEB to make this characteristic less noticeable at very low speeds for early built vehicles only.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
