The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Warranty Part Reviews indicate license plate lamp assemblies received that may have been mistakenly removed to enable bulb replacement. Bulb replacement does not require removal of the lamp assembly from the rear bumper.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Use SI Document 1740685 to assure that bulb replacement is required. Use SI Document 1923758 for license plate lamp bulb replacement procedures.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
