The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may notice that Rain Sense Wipers are listed as an option on their vehicles window sticker. Rain Sense Wipers (RPO CE1) is a new feature for the all new 2007 Silverado and Sierra Crew Cabs. Some regular or extended cab vehicles may have had this option mistakenly listed for certain equipment groups. Rain Sense Wipers is only available on crew cab models and currently is not available on regular or extended cab models.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Even though the window sticker mistakenly lists Rain Sense Wipers, it was not added to the sticker price of the vehicle. No attempt should be made to add Rain Sense Wipers to a vehicle that does not have the option CE1.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
