The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
While diagnosing a crank no start concern with the Tech 2, it may be noticed that the "VTD Fuel Disable" parameter in the BCM is going "Active". Currently, this parameter is not working properly and will always show active when the vehicle is trying to be started and even after the vehicle is started. At this time do NOT rely on this parameter to determine if the no start is Theft Deterrent related.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering is aware of this issue and currently working on getting it corrected.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
