Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2006 🢒 Savana - AWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Cooling 🢒 Glow Plug Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the charged air cooler inlet hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.

    5. Object Number: 1664664 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the glow plug control module.
  6. Remove the glow plug control module bolts.
  7. Remove the glow plug control module.
  8. Remove the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.
  9. Remove the glow plug control module bracket, if required.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the glow plug control module bracket, if required.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the glow plug control module.
  4. Install the glow plug control module bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the positive battery cable to the glow plug control module.
  6. Connect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.
  7. Install the charged air cooler hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  9. If a NEW glow plug control module was installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
