Models:1997-2005 GM Cars, Light Duty Trucks and Utilities
Equipped With 4L60E 4L65E Or 4L70E (RPO - M32 Or M70) Transmission



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Replacement pump cover may appear different than the original pump cover. The replacement pump casting may have a boss or a hole and plug that would accommodate a ISS (input speed sensor).

Recommendation/Instructions:

Using a light look inside the stator support and inspect the stator support shaft sleeve. If the sleeve has a large hole and notch it CAN NOT be used in 1997-2005 transmissions. If the sleeve DOES NOT have the large hole and notch in the sleeve it CAN be used in 1997-2005 transmissions. (See photos)

In photo's below, C/O 1 represents the sleeve for an ISS equipped transmission, C/O 2 represents the sleeve for a non-ISS transmission

Important: DO NOT use ISS sleeve in non-ISS transmission
