For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- If necessary, remove the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Remove the wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement.
- Remove the glow plug harness nut(s).
- Remove the harness from the glow plug(s).
- Remove the glow plug(s).
Installation Procedure
- Install the glow plug(s) and tighten to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Install the harness to the glow plug(s).
- Install the glow plug harness nut(s) and tighten to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).
- Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Install the wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
