Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 830500  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft nut from the link bolt.
  3. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt.
  4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link insulators and spacers.
  5. Inspect all of the parts for wear and damage.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft link insulators and spacers.
  2. Perform the following procedure before installing the stabilizer shaft link bolts.
  3. • Remove all traces of the original adhesive patch.
    • Apply Threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 or BLUE LOCTITE™ #242 on the threads of the bolts.
  4. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolts.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft nut to the link bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  8. Remove the safety stands.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
