Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2004 🢒 Savana 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L 🢒 Oil Filter, Adapter, and Pan Cover Installation

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1277111 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pan cover (434), bolts (435), and a NEW oil pan cover gasket (433).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan cover bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  2. Install a new oil filter bypass valve (436) into the oil pan, if required.
  3. Install the oil filter fitting (438).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter fitting to 55 N·m (40 lb ft).

  4. Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil.
  5. Install the oil filter.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  6. Install the oil pan drain plug.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
