For 1990-2009 cars only
- Turn the engine OFF.
- Apply the parking brake.
- Loosen the fuel filler cap.
- Attach a flexible tube or hose 6.35-7.74 mm (1/4-5/16 in) interior diameter (ID).
- Place a suitable container under the filter drain.
- Slowly open the water drain valve.
- Allow filter to drain until clear fuel is observed.
- Close the drain valve.
- Start the engine.
- If the water-in-fuel lamps comes ON again, repeat steps 1-4 until all of the water is drained from the fuel manager/filter. If water-in-fuel lamp keeps coming ON, the fuel tank should be checked for contamination.
- Dispose of the drained mixture in a proper manner.
Important: Verify that the ignition is in the OFF position before opening the water drain.
