1. Remove the bulb from the side stepwell lamp.
2. Connect a unpowered test lamp between the side stepwell lamp connector, cavity A for CKT 40 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Repair the open in CKT 40 (ORN) between the side stepwell lamp connector and splice S309 (base) or splice S232 (upfitter provisions).

Is the side stepwell lamp operative?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Go to Step 4

1. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the side stepwell lamp connector, cavity B for CKT 156 (WHT), and ground.
2. Place the instrument panel dimmer switch in the dome switch position.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the side stepwell lamp bulb.

Is the side stepwell lamp operative?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 156 (WHT) between splice S305 (base) or splice S230 (upfitter provisions) and the side stepwell lamp connector.
