  1. Disconnect the connector at the headlamp switch.
  2. Disconnect connector C200 at the steering column.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between connector C200, cavity E13 for CKT 10 (YEL), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 10 (YEL) between the following components:

    • The headlamp switch
    • The daytime running lamp control module
    • The headlamp dimmer switch

Do the low beam headlamps operate properly?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the short to voltage in CKT 12 (TAN) between the following components:

    • The headlamp dimmer switch
    • The underhood fuse relay center, cavity F1

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

Go to Step 5

Replace the headlamp switch.

Do the low beam headlamps operate properly?

    • Ground

    • The headlamp switch
    • The headlamp dimmer switch

Locate and repair the short to voltage in CKT 12 (TAN) between the following components:

    • The headlamp dimmer switch
    • The underhood fuse relay center, cavity F1

Is the repair complete?
