Was the DRL System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the connector at the instrument cluster.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the daytime running lamp (DRL) control module connector, cavity G, and the instrument cluster connector, cavity A17, for CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK).

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the instrument cluster and the DRL control module.

Is the DRL indicator operative?

--

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the instrument cluster connector, cavity B17, and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Is the filament of the DRL indicator lamp open?

Replace the DRL indicator lamp.

Is the DRL indicator operative?
