    Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 63084  Size: SH

    Caution : The water/diesel fuel mixture is flammable. The water/diesel fuel mixture could be hot. In order to help avoid personal injury and property damage, do not touch the fuel coming from the drain hose. Also do not expose the fuel to open flames or sparks.

    Be sure you do not overfill the container. Heat (such as from the engine ) can cause the fuel to expand. If the container is too full, fuel could be forced out of the container. This could lead to the risk of personal injury and vehicle damage.

  3. Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter.

  4. Object Number: 63086  Size: SH
  5. Connect a hose to the air bleed valve located on the top of the fuel manager/filter.
  6. Place the other end of the hose into a suitable container.
  7. Using a scan tool, command the lift pump ON, until clear fuel is observed at the air bleed hose.
  8. Close the air bleed valve.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Start the engine.
  11. Allow the engine to run for 5 minutes at idle.
  12. Check for any fuel leaks.
  13. Clear all of the engine DTCs.
