Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 188050 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil filter from the engine block. Clean the oil filter mounting surface.
  3. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a suitable container. Clean the drain plug and mounting surface.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 181988 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil filter to the engine block. Tighten the oil filter to the oil filter manufacutrers specifications listed on the oil filter box.
  2. Install the drain plug to the oil pan.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the drain plug to 25 N·m 18 lb. ft.

  3. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
  4. Fill the crankcase with oil. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities for recommended engine oil and the fill capacity.
