Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement Speaker

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.



2. Remove the rivets retaining the speaker/housing to the door.
3. Remove the speaker/housing from the door.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker housing.

1. Connect the electrical connector to the speaker housing.



2. Install the speaker/housing to the door.
3. Install the rivets retaining the speaker housing to the door.
4. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement Tweeter

1. Remove the front door trim plate (1) from the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement in Doors.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the following components, if equipped:

•	Power window switch

•	Power mirror switch

•	Power lock switch

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the tweeter (5).
4. Drill out the heat stakes in order to remove the tweeter.
5. Remove the tweeter from the front door trim plate.

1. Install the tweeter to the front door trim plate.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the screws (4) in order to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the tweeter.
4. Connect the electrical connections to the following components, if equipped:

•	Power window switch

•	Power mirror switch

•	Power lock switch

5. Install the front door trim plate to the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement in Doors.
