Was the Radio/Audio System Check performed?

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

1. Place the headlamp switch in the park lamps position.
2. Observe that the parking lamps operate.
3. Adjust the IP dimmer switch thumbwheel to the parade mode detent position
4. Disconnect the radio C1 connector.
5. Connect a digital multimeter J 39200 set to indicate voltage between the radio C1 connector, cavity 6 for CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) and ground.

Is voltage indicated?

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector.
2. Connect a J 39200 set to indicate voltage between the headlamp switch pin N, and ground.

Is voltage indicated?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) between the headlamp switch connector and the radio C1 connector.

Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

Replace the headlamp switch.

Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

Replace the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
