Was the HVAC Air Delivery System Check performed?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly connector.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly connector, cavity 10 for CKT 341 (BRN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

Connect a J 39200 between the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly connector, cavity 7 for CKT 150 (BLK), and ground.

Does the circuit have continuity?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Place the blower motor switch at the front auxiliary HVAC control module in the OFF position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 between the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly connector, cavity 8 for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.
  3. Monitor the voltmeter while adjusting the mode control knob at the front auxiliary HVAC control module.

Is voltage indicated and does the voltage vary?

  1. Disconnect the front auxiliary HVAC control module connector.
  2. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the front auxiliary HVAC control module connector, cavity J for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 11

Connect a J 39200 between the front auxiliary HVAC control module connector, cavity J for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.

Does the circuit have continuity?

--

Go to Step 12

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire between the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal connector, cavity 8 for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.
  2. Connect a J 39200 between the front auxiliary HVAC control module connector, cavity J for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.

Does the circuit have continuity?

--

Repair the open in CKT 341 (BRN) between splice S405 and the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly.

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal and splice S411.

Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 733 (LT BLU) between the front auxiliary HVAC control module and the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly.

Repair the short to ground in CKT 733 (LT BLU) between the front auxiliary HVAC control module and the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly.

Connect a J 39200 between the heater and A/C control logic module connector, cavity F for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.

Does the circuit have continuity?

  2. Connect an ohmmeter between the heater and A/C control logic module connector, cavity F for CKT 733 (LT BLU), and ground.

Does the circuit have continuity?

Repair the open in CKT 341 (BRN) between splice S405 and the rear auxiliary mode valve and seal assembly.
