  1. Install the steering column housing assembly onto the steering column housing jacket assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the 4 TORX® head screws to the steering column housing assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX® head screws to 17 N·m(13 lb ft).

  5. Install the following parts onto the steering column jacket assembly:
  6. 3.1. The steering shaft (1).
    3.2. The adapter and bearing assembly (2).
    3.3. The steering column seal (3).

  7. Install the park lock cable assembly.
  8. Install 3 flat head 6-lobed socket tapping screws.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the flat head 6-lobed socket tapping screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  10. Install the automatic transmission shift lock control.
  11. Install the gearshift lever and put the column in the NEUTRAL position.
  12. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
  13. Install the electronic lock module assembly. Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
