Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Replacement .
  2. Raise and support the hood.
  3. Remove the screws retaining the windshield frame filler panel.
  4. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 321597  Size: SH
  6. Remove the hood to fender nut and bolt.
  7. Remove the front rocker panel cladding. Refer to Cladding Replacement - Rocker Panel .
  8. Remove the front wheel house extension Wheelhouse Extension Replacement .
  9. Remove the fender to the body bolts.

  10. Object Number: 321591  Size: SH
  11. Remove the fender from the body.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fender to the body.

  2. Object Number: 321597  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fender to the body bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fender to the body bolts to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  5. Install the front wheel house extension Wheelhouse Extension Replacement .
  6. Install the front rocker cladding. Refer to Cladding Replacement - Rocker Panel .

  7. Object Number: 321591  Size: SH
  8. Install the hood to fender nut and bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the hood to fender nut and bolts to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  10. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the screws retaining the windshield frame filler panel.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the screws retaining the windshield frame filler panel to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  13. Install the bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
  14. Close the hood.
