Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.

  5. Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  6. Remove the Modular fuel sender from the fuel tank.

  7. Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  8. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) from the modular fuel sender (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) to the modular fuel sender (2).
  2. Install the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Check for fuel leaks.
