  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Place the headlamp and panel dimmer switch in the ON position.
  3. Move the headlamp dimmer switch to the HI position.
  4. Connect a DMMJ 39200 from the instrument cluster connector CKT 750 (BLK) cavity B1 to ground.

Is there continuity?

Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from the instrument cluster CKT 11 (LT GRN) cavity B3 to CKT 750 (BLK) cavity B1.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Inspect the bulb.

Is the bulb open?

Go to Step 10

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the replacement complete?

Use a test lampJ 35616-200 in order to backprobe from the headlamp dimmer switch CKT 11 (LT GRN) cavity C to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT11 (LT GRN) between the instrument cluster and S135.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

Replace the headlamp dimmer switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 750 (BLK) between the instrument cluster and splice S206.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the bulb.

  1. Disconnect Instrument Cluster Connectors.
  2. Connect a DMM J 39200 from CKT 750 (BLK) wire at I/P Cluster to ground.

Is there continunity?

  1. Place Headlamp Switch in HEAD position and Headlamp Dimmer Switch in HIGH position.
  2. Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from CKT 11 (LT GRN) wire at I/P Cluster to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair open in CKT 750 (BLK) wire between I/P Cluster and ground.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the Instrument Cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
