Removal Procedure

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the vent valve bracket bolt (2) from the vent valve (1).

  3. Disconnect the vent valve electrical connector (1) from the vent valve.

  4. Object Number: 421936  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the vent valve vacuum hose (1) from the vent valve.
  6. Remove the vent valve.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 421936  Size: SH
  1. Install the vent valve vacuum hose (1) on the vent valve.

  2. Object Number: 421935  Size: SH
  3. Connect the vent valve electrical connector (1) to the vent valve.

  4. Object Number: 420640  Size: SH
  5. Install the vent valve (1) and the vent valve bracket bolt (2).
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
