CARBURETOR FLOAT STABILIZER SPRING-ROUGH ROAD EFFECTS

SOME S-10 TRUCKS, BOTH TWO-WHEEL AND FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE, MAY STOP RUNNING UPON DRIVING OVER SEVERE ROUGH ROAD CONDITIONS SUCH AS PARKING LOT "SPEED BUMPS". TO MINIMIZE THE EFFECTS OF ROUGH ROADS ON THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE CARBURETOR, A STABILIZER SPRING CAN BE INSTALLED. THIS SPRING WILL MINIMIZE THE FUEL LEVEL VARIATION. THE ATTACHED LIST OF CARBURETOR PART NUMBERS DISPLAY THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS USED IN PRODUCTION. DETERMINE WHICH CARBURETOR IS IN THE VEHICLE AND REPAIR IF NECESSARY WITH PARTS AVAILABLE FROM TWO (2) KITS, P/N 7035156 AND P/N 17110227. 1. General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
