MODELS: 1996 CHEVROLET AND GMC C/K, S/T, M/L TRUCKS WITH 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L, 7.4L ENGINES (VINS W, X, M, R, J - RPOS L35, LF6, L30, L31, L29)

"GM OF CANADA" AND "NAES" DEALERS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO UTILIZE THIS SERVICE BULLETIN.

THE FOLLOWING LABOR OPERATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO 1996 MODEL YEAR TRUCKS WITH THE ABOVE ENGINE RPOS.

IMPORTANT: SERVICING OF THE DISTRIBUTOR IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE 1995-96 ENGINES LISTED. PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO BE ORDERED THROUGH GM SERVICE PARTS OPERATIONS; TO DO REPAIRS ON THE DISTRIBUTOR ONLY A COMPLETE DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY CAN BE REPLACED.

J-4360 CAP, IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR -- REPLACE J-4380 ROTOR, DISTRIBUTOR -- REPLACE J-4440 MODULE DISTRIBUTOR -- REPLACE J-4460 PICK-UP COIL OR POLE PIECE -- REPLACE J-4480 MAINSHAFT DISTRIBUTOR -- REPLACE J-4520 DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY -- R&R

THE FOLLOWING LABOR OPERATIONS SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONES USED FOR THE 1996 MODEL YEAR ON LISTED ENGINE RPOS FOR DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY. **J-4530 DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY--REPLACE**, CAM RETARD OFFSET ADJUST V8 ONLY-J-4544**

IMPORTANT: WHEN SERVICING THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM ON 1996 TRUCK ENGINES, ONLY ONE LABOR OPERATION IS TO BE USED.

THE FOLLOWING LABOR OPERATION SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE USED FOR THE 1996 MODEL YEAR ON LISTED ENGINE RPOS FOR FUEL INJECTOR REPLACED. **J-5550 CENTRAL SEQUENTIAL PORT FUEL INJECTOR -- REPLACE**
