In the event that an engine block heater is removed from an engine for a repair, an attempt to re-install the block heater could result in coolant leakage.
An engine block heater should be used for a one-time installation only. Whenever an engine block heater is removed, it should be scrapped/discarded by the dealer and not re-used. Re-install a new block heater.
