Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the rear brake shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
2. Disconnect the brake line from the wheel cylinder.
3. Plug or cap the brake line fitting as not to allow the brake fluid to become contaminated.
4. Remove the wheel cylinder bolts.



5. Remove the wheel cylinder.

1. Install the wheel cylinder.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




2. Install the wheel cylinder bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

3. Remove the plug or cap from the brake line fitting.
4. Connect the brake line to the wheel cylinder.

Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

5. Install the rear brake shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
6. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
7. Check the master cylinder fluid level, add fluid if necessary. Refer Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling .
