Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1334380  Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Important: After removing the charged air cooler duct, cover the turbocharger openings with tape in order to prevent entry of objects.

  3. Loosen the charged air cooler inlet duct connector to turbocharger clamp (1).
  4. Important: Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to pry the hose loose. The hose can be torn or damaged. Loosen the hose by twisting.

  5. Remove the charged air cooler inlet duct connector (4) from the turbocharger.

  6. Object Number: 1335528  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor electrical connector.
  8. Remove the fuel temperature sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1335528  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel temperature sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  3. Connect the fuel temperature sensor electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 1334380  Size: SH
  5. Remove the tape from the turbocharger openings.
  6. Install the charged air cooler inlet duct connector (4) to the turbocharger.
  7. Tighten the charged air cooler inlet duct connector to turbocharger clamp (1).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  9. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  10. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  11. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  12. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
