Cruise Control Module Replacement 4.3L Engine

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 346973  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper fender brace bolts.
  2. Remove the upper fender brace.

  3. Object Number: 346969  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the cruise control module electrical connector.

  5. Object Number: 346962  Size: SH
  6. Remove the cruise control module nuts.
  7. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the module. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Replacement .
  8. Remove the cruise control module.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control module.
  2. Connect the cruise control cable to the cruise control module. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 346962  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the cruise control module nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Connect the cruise control module electrical connector.

  7. Object Number: 346973  Size: SH
  8. Install the upper fender brace.
  9. Install the upper fender brace bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
