Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 31739 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
  3. Remove the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement in Engine Cooling.

    4. Object Number: 188000 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
  5. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Removal .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 188000 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Installation .

    2. Object Number: 31739 Size: SH
  2. Install the engine oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  3. Connect the electrical sensor to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
  4. Install the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  5. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
