SOME SUBJECT 1983-1988 MEDIUM DUTY VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE A CONDITION WHICH EXHIBITS A CLUNKING NOISE OR RATTLE IN THE BRAKE AREA. THIS MAY BE DUE TO WEAR OF THE CALIPER SUPPORT (ANCHOR PLATE) AND CALIPER IN THE FORWARD MOUNT POSITION.

A CALIPER SHIM KIT, P/N 15625709, IS AVAILABLE THROUGH GMSPO FOR REPAIR OF THE SUBJECT CONDITION ON 1983-1988 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES. THE SHIM KIT INCLUDES ILLUSTRATED SERVICE REPAIR PROCEDURES.
