Engine Mount Crossmember Cracking (Replace Crossmember and Fasteners)

Some drivers may comment on the engine mount crossmember cracking at the bolt hole locations.

Replace the engine mount crossmember. New fasteners have been recommended for attachment. Use the procedure and part numbers listed below.

1. Remove the nuts, the bolts, and the crossmember and discard.
2. Apply a medium strength threadlock compound, P/N 12345382, to the threads of the new bolts.
3. Install the new crossmember, the bolts, the washers, and the nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
