Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the instrument panel (IP) auxiliary storage compartment, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  4. Remove the remote CD player, if equipped.
  5. Remove the ashtray. Refer to Ashtray Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  6. Object Number: 276129  Size: SH
  7. Push on the clips behind the auxiliary storage compartment or the remote CD player.
  8. Pull down in order to release the module.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276129  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Slide in the rear tabs of the module.
  3. Push up in order to engage the module.

  4. Install the ashtray. Refer to Ashtray Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  5. Install the IP auxiliary storage compartment, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  6. Install the remote CD player, if equipped.
  7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Reprogram the EVO/Passlockā„¢ module. Refer to PASSLOCK Reprogramming Auto Learn .
