Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 182835 Size: SH
  1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement .

    2. Important: Store used components in order so that they can be reassembled in the same location.

  2. Remove the valve rocker arm nut (1).
    3. • If only the valve pushrod is being replaced, back the valve rocker arm nut off until the valve rocker arm can rotate away from the valve pushrod.
    • Then remove the valve pushrod.
  3. Remove the valve rocker arm with the valve rocker arm ball.

    4. Object Number: 22766 Size: SH
  4. Remove the valve pushrod.
  5. Clean and inspect all parts. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rods Clean and Inspect .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 343915 Size: SH
  1. Install the valve pushrod. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Installation .
  2. Adjust the valve lash. Refer to Valve Lash Adjustment .
  3. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement .
