Engine Flywheel Installation Automatic Transmission

Important: Ensure the flex plate is installed correctly. Engine Side is stamped on the flex plate to assist with installation.

1. Install the engine flex plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the engine flex plate bolts.

Tighten the bolts following a criss-cross pattern.

Tighten

•	Tighten the engine flex plate bolts a first pass to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

•	Tighten the engine flex plate bolts a second pass to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

•	Tighten the engine flex plate bolts a final pass to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
