This bulletin is being issued to add the Pickup Box End Gate Latch Handle Bezel procedure to the Body Rear End sub-section of the Service Manual.

1999-2005 Pickup Models

Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications.
1	Integral Adhesive Foam Blocks Release the adhesive blocks after the upper retaining tabs are released. Install the latch handle bezel with the end gate in the closed position. Clean the sheet metal at the right and left sides of the bezel opening with an alcohol wipe prior to the bezel installation. Peel the protective tape liner from the foam block on both sides. Seat the bezel at the bottom of the opening in the end gate. Roll the bezel forward seating and securing the upper integral locking tabs. Apply palm pressure to both outer edges of the bezel in order to wet out the adhesive foam blocks.
2	Integral Locking Tabs (Upper) Tip Gently pry downward with a small flat-bladed tool at the two locations in order to release the upper retaining tabs.
3	Integral Retention Tabs (Lower)
4	Pick Up Box End Gate Latch Handle Bezel Replacement Tip Once in position, gently wet out the adhesive foam blocks to the end gate panel.

1	End Gate to Bezel Bolts (Qty: 2) Tighten 10 N·m (89 lb in)
2	Plastic Tree Retainers (Qty: 2)
3	Pick Up Box End Gate Latch Handle Bezel Tip With the end gate in the closed position, firmly press at the bottom of the bezel in order to engage the two lower plastic tree retainers. Open the end gate and support the top of the bezel. Position and finger tighten the two upper bolts. (Refer to above torque specification) Close the end gate.
