Some customer may comment that the Service Air Bag light comes on and the issue is related to the Passenger Presence System. In these cases, it is necessary that technicians utilize all three parts in the service module kit ( PPS module, PPS sensor and pad and the seat foam) because of the calibration involved. A recent review of returned parts appeared to indicate that not all parts of the kit were being used.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
