Cooling Fan Pulley Replacement 6.6L Engine

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 742170  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fan clutch. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1).

  3. Object Number: 654556  Size: SH
  4. Remove the fan pulley bolts/nuts.
  5. Remove the fan pulley.
  6. Remove the fan pulley spacer.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fan pulley spacer.
  2. Install the fan pulley.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fan pulley bolts/nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts/nuts to 46 N·m (34 lb ft).

  6. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector (1).
  7. Install the fan clutch. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement .
