The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Owners may comment that their manual outside camper mirrors RPO DF2 move inward when closing the door or at highway speeds. This concern may be more noticeable when the mirrors are extended. This concern may be caused by the pivot system not holding the mirror in position.
Recommendation/Instructions:
A new design with increased thickness on the pivot liner has been developed and should be used for service. The part numbers are 15172059 ( R ) and 15172060 ( L ). While the part numbers remain the same, SPO inventory has been upgraded with the new designed parts.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
