Did you perform the Lighting Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

Operate the cargo lamps to verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Turn ON the cargo lamp switch.
2. Open the LF door.
3. Close the LF door.

Does the cargo lamp function properly?

Go to Step 4

Go to the appropriate diagnostic chart: Cargo Lamp Always On or Cargo Lamp Inoperative

1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
2. Use the scan tool in order to select IPC, Special Functions, and command the Cargo Lamp On message OFF and ON.

Does the message turn on and off when commanded?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
