Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 657564  Size: SH
  1. Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench on the tensioner arm and rotate the arm counterclockwise.

  2. Object Number: 812344  Size: SH
  3. Remove the drive belt (1) from the drive pulleys, if equipped with a single generator.

  4. Object Number: 812348  Size: SH
  5. Remove the drive belt (1) from the drive pulleys, if equipped with a single generator and vacuum pump.

  6. Object Number: 812347  Size: SH
  7. Remove the drive belt (1) from the drive pulleys, if equipped with dual generators.

  8. Object Number: 812350  Size: SH
  9. Remove the drive belt (1) from the drive pulleys, if equipped with dual generators and vacuum pump.
  10. Slowly release the tension on the tensioner arm.

Inspection and Repair

  1. Inspect the drive belt for excessive cracking or any damage to the drive belt.
  2. Replace the drive belt if there is damage or excessive cracking.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 812350  Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt (1) to the drive pulleys, if equipped with dual generators and vacuum pump.

  2. Object Number: 812347  Size: SH
  3. Install the drive belt (1) over all of the pulleys except the tensioner pulley, if equipped with a dual generators.

  4. Object Number: 812348  Size: SH
  5. Install the drive belt (1) to the drive pulleys, if equipped with a single generator and vacuum pump.

  6. Object Number: 812344  Size: SH
  7. Install the drive belt (1) over all of the pulleys except the tensioner pulley, if equipped with a single generator.
  8. Slowly release the tension on the tensioner arm.

  9. Object Number: 657564  Size: SH
  10. Install a 3/8 inch drive wrench on the tensioner arm and rotate the arm counterclockwise.
  11. Route the drive belt over tension pulley.
  12. Slowly release the tension on the tensioner arm.

  14. Inspect for the drive belt being properly install on the pulleys.

  15. Object Number: 665067  Size: SH
  16. Avoid mis-positioning the drive belt by one or more grooves.

  17. Object Number: 665072  Size: SH
  18. Confirm for the proper drive belt size and the correct drive belt routing by observing the location of the fix pointer and index marks on the drive belt tensioner. With a new drive belt installed the fix pointer should align within the indentation on the drive belt tensioner.

  19. Object Number: 665075  Size: SH
  20. With a used drive belt installed the fix pointer should not align past the index marks.
